Glowworm for Apple TV
Terms of use
Effective September 10, 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Shed Labs, LLC ("Shed Labs," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Glowworm and Glowworm Plus. By downloading, accessing, or using Glowworm, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Glowworm.
What Glowworm does
Glowworm is an independent Apple TV application that connects to a Plex account you authorize and builds a personalized, live-style guide from media available through that account. Glowworm does not provide, sell, license, or host the movies, television programs, or other media in your Plex libraries.
Plex, your media, and your responsibilities
Glowworm is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Plex, Apple, or the owners of media in your Plex libraries. You are responsible for:
- Your Plex account, Plex Media Server, internet and local-network access, and compatible Apple TV.
- Maintaining authorization to access the Plex servers and libraries you connect.
- Ensuring that your media and your use of it comply with applicable law and any agreements that apply to you.
- Keeping your Apple and Plex accounts secure and promptly disconnecting devices you no longer control.
License and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms, Shed Labs grants you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use Glowworm for lawful, noncommercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You may not:
- Use Glowworm to violate law, another person’s rights, or a third-party service agreement.
- Interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt unauthorized access to Glowworm, its backend, or another user’s systems.
- Bypass usage limits, subscription checks, access controls, or security measures.
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer Glowworm except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Use automated means to scrape or extract information from the service beyond normal app operation.
Glowworm Plus subscription
- Glowworm includes one user-created custom channel at no charge. Glowworm Plus unlocks the creation and use of additional custom channels while your subscription is active. Automatically generated library channels do not count toward the free allowance.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for another month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Apple charges your account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Prices may vary by country or region. Apple shows the exact localized price and any trial or offer terms before purchase.
- Manage or cancel on Apple TV by opening Settings → Profiles and Accounts → your profile → Subscriptions → Glowworm. You can also use Apple’s subscription management page.
- Deleting Glowworm, disconnecting Plex, or requesting deletion of Glowworm data does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- You can restore an eligible purchase from Glowworm’s subscription screen. Billing, refunds, and payment disputes are administered by Apple under Apple’s applicable policies.
- If Glowworm Plus expires or is canceled, saved channel definitions may remain associated with your account, but channels beyond the free allowance may be unavailable until you resubscribe or reduce the number of custom channels.
Your channel settings
You retain any rights you have in channel names, rules, and configuration you provide. You authorize Shed Labs to process that information only as needed to operate, synchronize, secure, and support Glowworm. Do not use channel names or other configuration to infringe someone else’s rights or submit unlawful material.
Ownership
Glowworm, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Shed Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Glowworm or any third-party media, trademarks, or services to you.
Third-party services
Glowworm depends on services and networks we do not control, including Plex, Apple, hosting providers, your network, and your Plex server. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, or changes.
Service changes and availability
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of Glowworm. We do not promise that every Plex server, media format, network configuration, or Apple TV model will work, or that Glowworm will be uninterrupted or error-free. When reasonably possible, we will provide notice before a material discontinuation that affects an active paid subscription.
Termination
You may stop using Glowworm at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, comply with law, address security or fraud, or respond to a material violation of these Terms. Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; you must cancel through Apple. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glowworm is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with every server or media file. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shed Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or service availability, arising from or related to Glowworm. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
Apple terms
Your license to the Glowworm app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard EULA. If they conflict on a matter Apple requires its EULA to control, Apple’s terms control.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms as Glowworm changes. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
